This year marks the eleventh annual Pope John Paul II Award Ceremony in our Diocese. Regrettably, we are not in a position to gather as a diocesan family to celebrate the achievement of our young people across our Diocese. Therefore, medals and certificates will be presented at parish level this year. Bishop Denis Nulty will virtually address the 400 recipients live from the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow. The live stream of the ceremony will also be available afterwards on the iCatholic website and the iCatholic Player app.
It has been a very different and difficult year for all, so it really is a credit to these young people and the support structures in our parishes and schools that so many were still able to achieve a medal against all odds. We hope that these young people will continue to contribute in a positive way to the life of the Church through their parish long into the future.
