From September 1 to October 4, Christians around the world unite to pray and care for creation. It’s the “Season of Creation,” and it’s happening from Paris to Pittsburgh, Pretoria to La Paz.
A whole set of resources has been put together for use across the globe. Cardinal Peter Turkson who joined us in the Cathedral in Carlow for our Opening Liturgy for WMOF 2018 was one of the Catholic representatives in the creation of these resources. They can be accessed at the following link: https://seasonofcreation.org/

A Family Prayer for use in the home during this Season of Creation. Parishes might like to include this prayer in their parish bulletin, website or social media page.
Creator God,
we thank you for the abundance of creation,
for the air we breathe,
the water we drink,
and the food we eat.
We pray that we, your children,
will steward this gift
so that all of your children
may share in its abundance
here and around the world,
now and in generations to come.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
