Season of Creation 2024:
The season of Creation takes place throughout the Christian world from 1 September to 4 October. This year’s theme is To Hope and Act with Creation. Resources to mark the season can be found on www.seasonofcreation.org as well as on www.catholicbishops.ie/laudato-si/season-of-creation-2024/.
These include:
- Sunday notes for each Sunday within the season;
- The Season of Creation Prayer (see attached image and video for use here:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO1bh0U-IeA);
- A leaflet on bio-diversity;
- as well as our own diocesan resource for blessing pets on or around the Feast of St Francis (4 October);
- an Ecological rosary;
- Creation Walk Moments and more.
These resources will have appeal to all age groups in the parish.
Dates to particularly note and mark are the opening on 1 September, a day of action on 21 September inviting people to engage with the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty (FFNPT) and 4 October, the Feast of St Francis.
