Sadly, once more we find ourselves unable to gather for public worship during Holy Week, the most important week in the Church Year. These resources were first created last year by Julie Kavanagh (Kildare and Leighlin), Bishop Michael Duignan (Clonfert) and Sheena Darcy (Elphin) and have been updated for use again this year.
They include a note for each day with a Scripture focus, some things to look out for if you are joining in a live broadcast of a liturgy, a short prayer ritual for each day, as well as some ‘to do’ suggestions.
While our church doors may be physically closed for public worship, the past year has seen the Church very much alive and open in the setting of the domestic Church, the home. We hope that these resources will support households to mark and celebrate this great week in our Christian faith, alongside visits to the local parish church for private prayer during the week.
