Pilgrimage to The Holy Land
Clane and Rathcoffey and Arles Parish Pilgrimage to The Holy Land, October 26 – November 2 2019. 54 Pilgrims led by Fr Paul O’Boyle and Fr Padraig Shelley, staying in Nazareth & Bethlehem and linking up with Trócaire partners and also Sr Bridget Tighe, Director of Caritas Jerusalem and working in Gaza, Palestine – an extraordinary woman!
Parish Community Sponsorship Programme
Clane and Rathcoffey Parish Community Sponsorship Programme was set up in March 2019 and are working closely with The Irish Refugee Council to welcome a Syrian family to the Parish. Accommodation has been secured and over €8,000 has been raised the community to date. We hope to welcome the family to the parish in the next two months, at the moment the family are living in a refugee camp.
There have been many offers of help and support to our project in education, health care, transport and overall goodwill.
We are trying to put into practice the call of Pope Francis – One family, one parish community!
